Governor Brian Sandoval appoints Dr. Ken Romeo to the Nevada Commission on Aging - Reno
Governor Brian Sandoval has appointed Dr. Ken Romeo, the Chief Clinical Data Coordinator and Board Member of the Healthy Aging and Research Council, to the Nevada State Commission on Aging.
Commissioner Romeo's term will run from August 30, 2016 to July of 2020.
Dr. Romeo holds a MBA in Finance and PhD in Business Administration from Columbia Pacific University. He received his MD and trained at both the Harvard School of Medicine and the Cleveland Clinic. He is a former team physician with the US Olympic Team at USA Boxing and the Astros.
In his work at the Healthy Aging Research and Genomic Council, Dr. Romeo developed the capture and interpretation mechanism for the evaluation of quantitative data in the biomedical sciences related to geriatrics and healthy aging.
His work is integral to the advancement of knowledge in health policy, clinical medicine, public health, health economics and other disciplines.
"My evaluations and collations include clinical trials and epidemiologic investigations in physical functioning, nutrition and cognitive function, among others. My work therefore supports and is integral to HARGC uniquely holistic approach to aging research," says Dr. Romeo.
