Royal jelly is a product of the honeybee that has been used in Chinese Medicine for over a

thousand years. Royal Jelly contains proteins, carbohydrates, fats, free amino acids, vitamins, and minerals and I believe that it is an excellent addition to an anti-aging protocol that focuses on skin health and energy.
Royal Jelly when used medicinally is said to have antitumor, antibacterial, and wound-healing properties.
It was shown (by Dr. HM Park, Department of Medical Science, Kyung Hee University, Seoul, Korea, J Med Foods, 2011) that Royal Jelly enhances the migration of human dermal fibroblasts and alters the levels of cholesterol and sphinganine in in-vitro wound-healing in addition to regulating skin photoaging following exposure to ultraviolet-B radiation. (Note: During the experiment a dietary supplement of 1% Royal Jelly extract was used.)
In his study, Dr. Park also measured the effects of Royal Jelly on ultraviolet (UV)-induced photoaging of the skin and the results were outstanding.
It is my personal conclusion that Royal Jelly may potentially protect the skin from UVB-induced photoaging by enhancing collagen production. If I am right, Royal Jelly is an excellent choice for people seeking to mitigate wrinkled skin and an essential part of an anti aging skin program.
Neither I nor the HARF endorse any particular Royal Jelly product that is for commercial sale.
