Females and Alzheimer's - Dr Ken Romeo Naturopath and Reflexology - Reno NV

OPINION: Dr Ken Romeo, Naturopath and Reflexology
It does a client no good to “look and feel fantastic” if they have limited cognition.
Scientists have spent years examining the question of why women seem more apt to experience Mild Cognitive Decline and Alzheimer’s than men in later life. To date, there are few answers.
Unfortunately, women decline significantly faster than men in cognition.
Today’s predictor model of mild cognitive impairment and Alzheimer’s is (1) baseline cognition, (2) years of education and (3) female gender.

I Soaked My Feet in Vodka to Get Drunk on New Year's Day - Dr Ken Romeo Naturopath and Reflexology - Reno NV

I love being a scientist because you can get away with doing stupid things - like soaking my feet in a tub of vodka for an hour on New Year's Day to get drunk!
Why did I do this seemingly stupid stunt? In my Reflexology practice I have been using essential
mad_scientist-svg oils on the feet in the hope of further benefit to my pain patients. My clients report that the use of the oils does not reduce pain but what-the-heck.
Did I get drunk? NO! I didn't even get a buzz. So why would using essential oils on the feet be of any benefit? I don't think they are when used on the feet alone. Aromatherapy is Aromatherapy. Period.
The debate rages on.....

Younger Looking Skin in 2017 - Dr Ken Romeo - Naturopath and Reflexology - Reno NV

I have the greatest job in the world! Helping my clients get healthy is a reward unlike any other.
Let's talk about skin health and aging.
Exfoliants help remove dead skin cells that weigh down and suffocate aging skin.
Exfoliants range in price from super cheap (which may be too harsh) to super expensive.
I have found that the most effective – and cheapest – way to exfoliate the skin is to use regular aspirin tablets. (Don't buy enteric coated aspirin for exfoliation) A bottle of 500 aspirin will cost you less than $10 and will last for up to a year depending on how many times you exfoliate your skin
In a small amount of warm water, crush five 325mg aspirin tablets to create a paste, and then spread on your face and neck. Allow it to dry before rinsing it off with a soft washcloth.
Aspirin is not only an anti-inflammatory, but the salicylic acid in aspirin loosens dead skin, revealing fresher, softer skin. Exfoliation with aspirin is recommended to be used no more than once per week.
Exfoliation with aspirin works! It's cost effective. It's powerful.

Be sure to check a small part of your body with this mixture PRIOR to using it on your face and neck.

BE SURE TO CHECK WITH YOUR HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONAL PRIOR TO USE ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE ON BLOOD THINNING MEDICATIONS.
